Nokia PC Suite 6.8

If you have Nokia PC Suite installed with SynQ 2.4.x or lower, you must uninstall Nokia PC Suite before upgrading to SynQ 2.5 or higher. Otherwise, Nokia PC Suite will create a duplicate copy of your Personal Folders hierarchy in Microsoft Outlook. While both Nokia PC Suite and the SynQ add-in appear to continue to work properly in this situation, it's unclear as to the side-effects of the duplicate.

Workaround: To prevent this situation from occurring, complete the following steps to install SynQ 2.5 or higher:

  1. Synchronize your Nokia device and Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Uninstall Nokia PC Suite from your PC:
    1. From the Microsoft Windows Start menu, click Control Panel.
    2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
    3. Select Nokia PC Suite and then click Change/Remove.
  3. Delete the following directory:
    C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Application Data\Nokia
    Note: Simply deleting this directory won't fix the problem. You must uninstall Nokia PC Suite (as described in Step 2) and delete this directory to prevent the duplicate from being created.
  4. Install the SynQ add-in.
    Note: Once your system administrator upgrades your calendar server to SynQ 2.5 or higher, the next time you start Outlook you will be prompted to install the new version onto your computer.
  5. Reinstall and reconfigure Nokia PC Suite.
