General Installation Procedure for Other PDAs

If you are currently using a PDA (personal digital assistant) other than a BlackBerry, Microsoft ActiveSync 4.2, or Nokia PC Suite 6.8 device, complete the following general steps to install SynQ 2.5 or higher:

  1. Synchronize your PDA and Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Uninstall the PDA software from your computer using the device manufacturer's recommended procedure.
  3. Ensure that all personalized data used by the plugin/PDA has been deleted from your computer. Manufacturers commonly place that data in one or more of the following directories:
    • C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Application Data
    • C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Local Settings\Application Data
    • C:\Program Files\[product]
  4. Install the SynQ add-in.
    Note: Once your system administrator upgrades your calendar server to SynQ 2.5 or higher, the next time you start Outlook you will be prompted to install the new version onto your computer.
  5. Reinstall and reconfigure your plugin/PDA software.
