There are known problems regarding the installation of SynQ 2.5 or higher and certain Microsoft Outlook-compatible plugins and PDAs (personal digital assistants). Please review the information provided here to see if you need to take special steps to install the SynQ add-in and follow the recommended procedures provided.
Note: If issues with additional plugins or PDAs are discovered, Mirapoint will provide updates here.
Plugins—No Known Problems
If you have any of the Outlook plugins listed below, you can proceed with the SynQ 2.5 or higher installation. Mirapoint has not encountered any problems regarding the installation of SynQ 2.5 or higher and these plugins (or addins):
- LinkedIn
- Microsoft Windows desktop search
- MSN toolbar search
- PGP Desktop
- Plaxo
- Raindance
- WebEx
- Salesforce.com
- Skype Toolbar for Outlook
Plugins—Known Problems
There is a known problem with Google Desktop Search; however, there is a workaround available.
PDAs—No Known Problems
There are no known problems with Blackberry devices running BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.2 Service Pack 1 (version 4.2.1). You can proceed with the installation of SynQ 2.5 or higher.
PDAs—Known Problems
There are known problems with the Microsoft Outlook-compatible PDAs listed in this section. Click the respective links to see the recommended workaround procedure for installing SynQ 2.5 or higher.
If you use a PDA that is not listed here, complete the general procedure for installing the SynQ add-in.
